Cycling 5000 km, from Banff in Canada to the US-Mexican border, raising money for MS research.
I decided today I was going to take a rest day. That way I can rest up a bit and do some ‘household chores’. Laundry, clean my bike (which is covered in this horrible sticky stuff from the road workers), do some groceries and communicate with the home front for example. Luckily the motel let me use the water hose when I was cleaning my bike and within a few minutes two guys came to me to give me advise. One of them was more or less the motel’s concierge and the other one was obviously a friend of his, who sometimes helped him out with whatever. The guy also hosted a rock show on the local radio. He diligently began to ask me questions and took notes in a impressively small notebook. So, who knows now I’m world famous in Rawlins and surrounding.
A rest day for some reason always goes by very fast with al those small things. So, I’m going to bed nice and early so I can sleep for a long time, tomorrow is going to be a long day. I wasn’t totally relaxed about the weather, mainly because of the wind….
